Why I Built Ya Leo!
When my son Luca turned 4, I wanted to teach him to read in Spanish. I searched everywhere — the App Store, recommendations from other parents, educational sites — and I couldn't find a single app that taught reading in Spanish the right way. There were plenty of apps to learn Spanish as a second language — but nothing for kids who already speak it and just need to learn to read. Everything was either in English, poorly translated, or didn't follow the método silábico that millions of children across Latin America learn with. So I decided to build it myself. Ya Leo! is the app I wish existed for Luca. Every lesson, every book, every detail was designed by a parent who simply wanted his child to read in Spanish.
